To captitalize the new IT paradigm, which will revitalize
local ICT industry, create jobs, enhance the industrial
capabilities of all other sectors and ultimately position
Hong Kong, concurrent policy initiatives would not be
enough. We need a new direction an additional resources
to leaping our competitors and enable our ICT industry
to become even more powerful in the areas where it already
excels.
The new direction would be developing Hong Kong into a
Ubiquitous Information Society.
