Eye on IT: LegCo Election Forums
This summer, the Beijing Olympics gain the world's attention, but do not forget about our big event here in Hong Kong--also once every four years--the LegCo Election. This year, we have two candidates in the ITFC, apart from browsing their website and reading their platforms, election forums are the most important channels which we can know more about them, and make an informed choice on 7 September.
This week, there are three major election forums organized by the Hong Kong Computer Society, the Commercial Radio and the Cable TV respectively. I've listed the details here, please try to attend, watch or listen to these events. Be a responsible IT voter, be a responsible citizen.

To assist our busy IT voters, I've set up a new blog to disseminate election news. I'll update news clippings about the cadidates, and details of election forums. I'll also comment on the election, to stimulate thoughts and discussions.

Hong Kong Computer Society (HKCS), in conjunction with the major ICT organizations in Hong Kong, is
organizing a forum for the candidates of the Information Technology Functional Constituency (ITFC) of 2008 Legislative Council (Legco) Election on 14 August 2008. The veteran media presenter, columnist and
published author, Mr. Ronald Fung, has kindly consented to become the moderator of the Forum.

Cable TV - 08 Functional Constituency Election Forum
Cable TV is organizing an open election forum for the Legco ITFC candidates. The cadicates will have the opportunity to debate and present their platforms, and they will take questions from the moderators and the public. The event will be live broadcasted on the Financial News Channel.
